TraNaTAē is the co-creation of a trinity: Karim Manning, Jared Mulhair, and the ever-present One True Source that unites us all.
The Tribe was formed out of a common desire to share the Freedom Teachings® through the vehicle of hip-hop — a musical genre that is (often rightly) stereotyped for its proliferation of negative messages and polarized viewpoints, repeated again and again and again...
The Freedom Teachings® remind us that sound is perhaps the most powerful way to influence human biology (the cellular structure, brain wave patterns, energy fields, and the DNA Template or core electrotonal programming grid underlying all physical-atomic matter forms). Contrary to the way that sound is frequently used and abused, we create our music with the intention of educating, uplifting, and healing humanity.
This wave of songs manifested between spring 2008 and spring 2009. We have Karim to thank for beat creation (the music), lyrics, vocals, production, recording (in our living rooms), and mixing. Jared contributes lyrics and vocals. Special thanks to Melissa Fathman and Matt Pass for lending their amazing voices to a few of the tracks. And not to forget the forces of Source, of course of course...
We were in intense production mode, with intent to get into the studio, when life took a turn and we had to put the project on hold. And there it sat for nearly a year. But sit it shall no longer! Although we wish these songs could be more polished — some are even missing verses or a chorus, and only a few have overdubs — we know they gotta be free to frolic cosmically.
You might find, as do we, that bits of lyrics come to mind throughout the day, little reminders that you do have a choice in where you place your focus, what thoughts you entertain, and thus what you create in your world.
We hope you enjoy these tracks as much as we do; if you would like to show your appreciation through a donation, we are happy to receive backflow for our efforts. A portion of the proceeds will be offered to the Azurite Press in gratitude for their continued inspiration.
